Dial-A-Ride...
In order to secure Dial-A-Ride Service you must call the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs as far in advance as possible to make a reservation. Requests for service are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Agency is able to transport clients who are handicapped through the use of lift vans. We are able to transport clients to medical appointments, to the hospital for outpatient tests or therapy, to the drug store for prescriptions, and for non medical trips.
Who is eligible to ride the Vans?
Residents of Trumbull County who are age 60 or older and their spouse (regardless of age) are eligible to ride the vans. For Dial-A-Ride Services, you must be registered as a client through our office.
Is there a fee?
There is a fee of $2.00 for each one-way portion of a trip. However, certain Federal programs may reduce or eliminate this fee for medical trips for qualified riders.
What destinations are available?
Clients may requests rides for any purpose to any location within Trumbull County during normal hours of operation.
